I believe that most of you will agree that obtaining a good job upon graduation is one of the reasons why we encourage our sons/daughters to obtain a college degree. Chances are that one of the factors in selecting Bryant University was that you were aware of the reputation that Bryant has in preparing its graduates to obtain good jobs upon graduation.

Therefore, we invite you to become familiar with the variety of services that our office provides, with the hope that we can be an active partner with you in encouraging your son/daughter to participate in the career development process early on during his/her Bryant experience.

We find that students who begin the process as early as their first year are usually successful in obtaining employment that will match their skills, interests, and values and will get them started on a career path that will bring fulfillment and success. In summary, the greater the level of involvement in the career development process that your student engages in, the more career success he/she will have.

Bryant Alumni Career Link : an opportunity for students to conduct informational interviews with alums eager to help students with their career plans; an excellent way to “network” with alumni.

Career Assessments: students can explore their skills, interests and values, and identify career options that match those characteristics.

Special Programs: career programs offered throughout the year featuring guest speakers and alumni.

Career Counseling: individual advising for all aspects of planning and conducting a job search

Career Resource Library: a wide array of up-to-date titles exploring the many aspects of career exploration, planning, options & related issues.

Workshops: covering a variety of career related issues. Popular topics include: Dynamic Resumes, Creative Cover Letters, Interviewing For Success, Job Searching

Mock Interviews: students can role play the interview process with a career counselor.

Resume Critiquing: drop off a draft of a resume/cover letter and it will be critiqued within 24 hours
